Cocos Island is an uninhabited island that boasts unique flora and fauna, some found nowhere else on Earth, and its waters are home to some of the sharkiest waters in the world. Access is restricted to protect the island's ecosystem and only accessed liveaboard. This helps preserve its beauty for future generations.
Located about 350 miles off the coast of Costa Rica, Isla del Coco boasts world-class diving in the only liveaboard destination in the country.
Diving conditions
There is no airport on the island. You will need to fly into SJO where you will be picked up the next morning to board.

Water temperatures range from 72 - 82F, 22 - 28C with cooler thermoclines. 3 - 5 mm wetsuit recommended.

A smaller rock formation with overhangs and swim-throughs, known for its abundant shark sightings, including hammerheads and Galapagos sharks.
A cleaning station for schooling hammerhead sharks and a variety of other pelagic species, often with strong currents.
A deep cleaning station dive site for hammerheads, with occasional sightings of tiger sharks and other pelagic species.
