Dive the Americas is a boutique ocean travel company that specializes in scuba diving travel experiences in Latin America. DTA was founded by Melanie Marsell and Kathleen Hall, whose mission is simple: to inspire a love for the ocean and contribute to its protection through dive-focused travel. As highlighted in media including Travel & Leisure magazine, Dive the Americas pillars include education, inclusivity, community, and connection. The ideal candidate will be passionate about travel, diving, with extensive personal dive experience in Latin America, and possess a strong background in sales. This role involves engaging with potential clients, understanding their travel needs, and providing personalized dive travel packages.
We’re looking for talented, out-of-the-box thinkers who are ready to shake up the dive travel industry with us. Entrepreneurial? Creative? Obsessed with the ocean? All of the above? We'd love to hear from you.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the travel or tourism industry.
- Strong knowledge of dive destinations in Latin America.
- Certified SCUBA diver and ocean lover
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of using online tools (understanding of CRM, Google Office, Slack, etc)
- Fluency in English. Proficient in Spanish is a plus! Spanglish is our official language.
- Initiative to work in a start-up environment
- Able to self-generate leads and build/grow a book of business.
